Resist the Urge to Google
Resist the urge to google spot cleaning remedies.
When something spills on your furnishings (sofas, area rugs, window treatments) your first instinct may be to wet a cloth and clean it or to google a home remedy. One of the more common google remedies is to use seltzer to clean up a stain. And while it seems that water or seltzer would be great options, it always depends on the fiber. Cleaning certain fabrics with water often ends up making matters worse.
There are many fabrics in use today that are sensitive to water. Adding water or seltzer to an already precarious situation can make stains worse and damage the fibers in the process.
If you are not sure which fabrics you have in your home, or how to treat them in the event of a stain - we’ve got you covered.
First, blot (NEVER RUB) the stain with a clean, dry, white, towel.
Second - if you have treated your furnishing recently, use the tools in your Fiber-Seal at home kit as well as the instruction booklet within to direct you.
Finally, if the stain persists, call us and we can help you take the next step. Whether that means scheduling a service call, a cleaning appointment, or a renewal of protection and services, we will advise you accordingly.
